¶ General diazos but especially TMSCHN2 and CH2N2
These compounds are generally yellow or orange. Under mild stirring slowly add acetic acid until it turns colorless. Bubbling will occur.
Do not evaporate methylation with TMSCHN2 until it is quenched and colorless.
